LONDON (Reuters) - Sex shop chain Ann Summers, which brought sex toys and saucy lingerie to the High Street, says it will start selling ice cream.
"As everyone knows, sex and ice cream can both be erotic, sensual, delicious experiences," Ann Summers said in a statement on Wednesday announcing the first four flavours -- Chocolate Banana, Forbidden Fruit, Come Back For Coffee? and Pop My Cherry.
Each recipe will include a new extract derived from truffles and said to give off chemicals similar to human sex hormones, a spokesman for the chain said, adding that the company had named the extract Priapus.
Ann Summers has become well known with 112 stores around the country selling raunchy clothes and sex toys, with provocative names such as "Rampant Rabbit", "Nipple Ripples" and "Jiggle Balls".
