Five Arsenal players have been shortlisted for the European Footballer of the Year award.
Thierry Henry, Sol Campbell, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord and Patrick Vieira are among 50 nominees for the award. The winner will be announced in December.
Ronaldo was named European Footballer of the Year in 2002 and he is one of eight Real Madrid players shortlisted. The Spanish giants are one of only two clubs with more nominees than Arsenal.
