Ipswich Town have resurrected their interest in Arsenal defender Efstathios Tavlaridis, although other First Division clubs are keen on the Greek stopper. The Gunners are believed to be willing to allow the Iraklis Salonika centre back to move out on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
"I can confirm I did speak to Ipswich again on Friday," Tavlaridis's agent Clive Hart told skysports.com.
"Efstathios proved his capabilities again when playing for Arsenal in the Carling Cup against Rotherham.
"A couple more clubs are interested, and I expect him to be heading for the Nationwide League Division One within a week or two."
Town have been admirers of the 23-year-old for some time and manager Joe Royle is looking for fresh, affordable options to boost his promotion-chasing squad.
