THIERRY HENRY has been named as the Arsenal.com Player of the Month for October.
Henry, who scored three goals for Arsenal last month, received 43 percent of the vote from registered members of the official club website.
Kolo Toure, who won the award in August and September, finished second in the poll with 15 percent of the vote while Robert Pires, who scored arguably the goal of the month at Anfield, was third.
Henry was in fine form during October. His first goal was something of a freak effort as Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini fumbled the ball against Henry's shins during the London derby at Highbury on October 18.
After that matchwinner Henry scored what turned out to be a consolation against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League, before curling home a majestic free-kick to earn Arsenal a 1-1 draw against Charlton at The Valley.
Arsenal supporter Andy Moore won two tickets for Saturday's game against Tottenham in our Player of the Month competition after voting for Henry.
Andy will present Thierry with his award before kick-off before taking his seat for the eagerly-awaited North London derby.
Reflecting on Henry's fine month, he said: "Thierry has scored some cracking goals recently, but he has not only proved himself to be a great footballer. He is also a perfect role model and an ambassador for Arsenal Football Club.
"Of the three goals he scored in October, his curling free-kick at Charlton really stands out."
Moore added: "Overall, the team are not quite firing on all cylinders but Thierry is as good as ever."
Early in December, registered members of Arsenal.com will have the chance to win tickets for a game at Highbury and present our award to the November Player of the Month.
