Tony Adams has admitted he would love to manage Arsenal one day - but is determined to bring success to Wycombe Wanderers first.
The former England and Arsenal captain retired from football 18 months ago after 18 years at Highbury, but returned as manager of Second Division Wycombe this week.
And he says that although he dreams of managing a major club one day, he is determined to be a success at the Causeway Stadium.
"I would love to manage Arsenal," Adams told BBC One's Football Focus.
"I would love to manage Real Madrid, Manchester United. They are all fantastic football clubs, but that is not for now.
"I am not equipped to do that now but I believe I am equipped to manage Wycombe. I think I can give Wycombe some ideas and some guidance.
"I don't know where my path will take me. If I stay here for 20 years then so be it and hopefully I'll be successful here.
"Long-term, my aim is to do the best I can, and if that means being at Wycombe for 20 years then so be it."
Adams says his first job will be to improve one of the division's most porous defences, but hopes this will not be at the expense of entertaining football.
He said: "They are conceding two goals a game at the moment, so that is a technical aspect that I can try and put right straight away.
"They still like to be entertained here though I heard, so a bit of resilience and a bit of entertainment are my priorities.
"The ones I have got to look after are the players. If I can get them to play to their optimum physically, technically and psychologically, then I'll be a success."
