Dennis Bergkamp has revealed is prepared to undertake a marathon journey to Milan in a bid to keep Arsenal on the road to UEFA Champions League survival.
The Dutch forward, who has a fear of flying, is normally ruled out for long away trips in Europe but is considering making the 592-mile trip to Milan to face Internazionale.
If he does go, it would be the first time Bergkamp has made a lengthy journey to face European opposition since he joined the Gunners on their visit to Italian outfit Fiorentina in September 1999.
"I hope to be playing in the San Siro - I hope to play in all the games - but it will be the manager's decision," stated the 34-year-old.
"If we win our last two remaining games we will go through and that's all we can want."
Meanwhile, midfielder Freddie Ljungberg believes the team have finally shaken off the mental shackles holding back the North Londoners' progress in Europe's premier club competition.
The Swede feels that the last-gasp 1-0 win over Dynamo Kiev will now kick-start Arsenal's campaign in the tournament.
"We got the win and hopefully it's the turning point. We are better than a side that had one point from three games," stated Ljungberg.
"Sometimes we have been a bit angry in the dressing room, whether it's been because of the referee or because we've conceded some goals.
"We can only hope a dramatic winner like that can spark our campaign."
However, team-mate Thierry Henry urged caution in the wake of the euphoria that gripped Highbury following Ahsley Cole's winner on Wednesday, and highlighted the Gunners' woeful form since their last important win in Europe against Roma last term.
"I don't know if this result will help us push on. We had a tremendous 3-1 win against Roma last season," declared the French international.
"Everyone said then that it would put us on to something great but it didn't.
"So you never know and can never tell what effect this win will have on us.
"But it was an important result because the draw in the other game means we are now back in it."
