92 mins: Deep into injury-time now as Wiltord spints down the right. He is called back however as the referee blows for full-time and Arsenal have their first Champions League win in nine games. The Gunners tried and tried all night and just when it looked as though it was not going to come, Ashley Cole popped up to keep their Group B hopes alive. In the other group game this evening Inter Milan drew 1-1 at home to Lokomotiv Moscow.
91 mins: Hero of the hour Cole wins possession and brings Arsenal forward again. The England man has been superb all night for the hosts and the crowd seem to agree.
90 mins: Edu replaces Bergkamp as Arsenal look to run down the clock. Arsene Wenger once again looks the calmest man in the stadium as Kiev win a throw.
89 mins: The relief is tangible all around the red half of North London as Henry again raids down the right. Kiev, who have worked so hard, look crestfallen.
88 mins: GOAL - COLE - Incredible scenes here at Highbury as Arsenal take the lead. Quite sublime ball into the area from Henry and there is the unlikely figure of Ashley Cole to stoop down and head home from six yards out.
86 mins: The Frenchman pulls the trigger from 20 yards and Shovkovskiy does wonderfully well to tip over.
85 mins: Toure goes down theatrically in the box but the referee is unimpressed and Kiev clear as far as Pires.
84 mins: Arsenal pour forward in numbers as their fans urge them on. Kiev again defend resolutely though, as they have done all night, and Gavrancic brings them forward again with a measured pass.
83 mins: Bergkamp takes a tumble in the area after fine link up play from Wiltord and Kanu. It looks increasingly like being one of those nights for the home side.
82 mins: Ghioane lets fly from range but it's never troubling Lehmann and Arsenal can breathe again.
81 mins: The clock continues to tick away as Nesmachnyi hits a speculative ball upfield for the visitors, who have looked organised throughout and very useful going forward.
80 mins: Fine challenge from Cole on substitute Rincon allows Arsenal to break again.
79 mins: Cole skips past two down the left but his final ball is not the best and Shovkovskiy is out to gobble the ball up. Arsenal's night can be summed up in that one move. Plenty of effort but just failing to produce when it reall matters.
78 mins: Henry hits a shot that smacks of desperation just over the bar as Wenger looks on anxiously from the bench.
77 mins: Kanu gets involved immediately as he whips in a cross from the right that Shovkovskiy does well to hold.
76 mins: Kanu now comes on in place of Parlour as the Gunners throw caution to the wind and go with a 4-2-4 formation.
75 mins: Arsenal just look a little ragged for the moment. The Gunners need a moment of inspiration from soemwhere to turn this match in their favour.
74 mins: Bergkamp tries to play in the newly arrived Wiltord but Ghioane clears with ease. Toure is then booked for a wildish looking lunge on Belkevich in midfield.
73 mins: Less than 20 minutes to play now and the Gunners will be staring down the barrell in Group B if they fail to score here. Still Inter Milan 1 Lokomotiv Moscow 1 in the other game.
72 mins: Roberto Nanni enters the fray in place of Shatskikh, who has worked tirelessly for the Kiev cause this evening.
71 mins: Gilberto and Parlour exchange quick passes in central midfield but their efforts eventually come to nothing.
70 mins: Ljungberg makes way for Wiltord as Arsenal elect to go 4-3-3 in search of goals.
69 mins: Lauren crosses deep down the right and Pires tries to help the ball on but cannot keep the cross in play. Goal-kick.
68 mins: Henry again tries to chase down a hopeful punt u[pfield. The Frenchman has certainly covered some miles for the Arsenal cause.
67 mins: Tackles flying in freely for the moment. The game has been very competetive but devoid of the ugly scenes we saw in Rome just last night.
66 mins: Wiltord begins to warm up on the Arsenal bench. Is Arsene Wenger about to shake things up in attack?
65 mins: Great play fro Parlour who beats two before finding Pires. The Frenchman is upended but does not convince enough for a free-kick.
64 mins: The home side forced to defend again as Campbell heads an hopeful punt from Leko into the stands. Arsenal far from comfortable for the moment as the game ebbs and flows.
63 mins: Henry berates the officials after being flagged for a dubious off-side. At the other end Kiev break in numbers and Shatskikh drills his shot straight at Lehmann.
62 mins: Bergkamp finds room in the area after a great cross from Ljungberg but the Dutchman's cross is not a classic and Kiev can clear.
61 mins: Corner driven in and Cole is forecd to hack clear under pressure. The England man has had a tidy game in defence for the Gunners.
60 mins: Leko lets fly for Kiev but Campbell gets a touch and diverts the ball out for a Kiev corner.
59 mins: Almost an hour gone in what is turning into a pulsating contest here at Highbury. Both sides happy to throw men forward as the game opens up at both ends.
58 mins: At the other end Kiev miss a guilt-edged opportunity of their own as Shatskikh contrives to miss from all of five yards out with the goal at his mercy.
57 mins: Another big miss miss at Highbury as Henry does superbly down the right. His eventual cross finds Pires who heads wide with the 'keeper beaten.
56 mins: In tonight's other game in the group Lokomotiv Moscow have equalised against Inter Milan. 1-1 now at the San Siro.
55 mins: Half chance for Kiev as Peev weaves a way into the area and almost finds Shatskikh.
55 mins: Arsenal have collectively just taken their foot off the gas for the moment as Peev and Ghioane exchange passes in midfield.
54 mins: Ljungberg again tries to drag Arsenal forward but his intended pass to Cole can only find Shovkovskiy.
53 mins: Lauren thinks he has won a throw down the right but the referee's assistant thinks otherwise.
52 mins: Campbell wins a free-kick down the left, taken by Pires the ball eventually finds Ljungberg who hist a first-time effort just over.
51 mins: Husyev makes a fine run down the right but Toure comes across well to grab possession back for the hosts.
50 mins: Gilberto loses possession and Shatskikh almost races clear after a smart pass from Belkevich.
49 mins: Another fine chance for the hosts as Pires fires just wide of the post from a narrow angle on the right. The Gunners have begun this period as they finished the last.
48 mins: Best chance of the game falls to Bergkamp. Tremendous flick on from Henry and Bergkamp slams his effort straight at Shovkovskiy from ten yards out.
47 mins: Early free-kick for Arsenal is slammed high and wide by Henry, who has not had one of his better nights for the Gunners so far.
46 mins: We are underway again in North London where Arsenal could well be 45 minutes away from another ignominious Champions League exit.

45 mins: The half-time whistle goes to end another half of Champions League football without an Arsenal goal. The hosts have had all the possession but have created few clear-cut chances and must improve if they are serious about staying alive in the group.
45 mins: Gilberto plays a loose ball upfield and allows Nesmachnyi some time and space. Fedorov seems to have been caught in the face but the referee sees no problem and allows play to go on.
44 mins: A glance at the stats shows Arsenal have enjoyed almost 65% of possession in this period but still have no goals to show for it. There will be two minutes of added time at the end of this first-half.
43 mins: Arsenal do still look a little casual with the ball, particularly in midfield. What price would Arsene Wenger give have a Patrick Vieira driving them forward now?
42 mins: Kiev raid down the left flank through Husyev, who almost picks out the advancing Shatskikh with his looping cross. A little warning for the Gunners there.
41 mins: Henry's turn to send a shot wide as Arsenal begin to turn the screw.
40 mins: Pires almost breaks the deadlock as the Frenchman beats two and then drills a low shot just beyond Shovkovskiy's right-and post. Fine effort that perhaps deserved better.
39 mins: The lively Henry slams a cross in from the right but Gavrancic clears well and Kiev can breathe again.
38 mins: The Highbury crowd still very edgy as we come towards the end of another half of Champions League football without and Arsenal goal.
37 mins: Leko is booked for his challeneg on Gilberto and will miss Kiev's next game as a result.
36 mins: Pires pours forward again as Gilberto lies in a heap on the ground. The play is eventually called back.
35 mins: Wenger still looking a little worried on the Arsenal bench. For all their possession, the Gunners are still on terms and that must be a worry for the home side and their boss.
34 mins: Bergkamp's turn now to have a pop as he hits a thunderous right-foot shot straight at Shovkovskiy in the Kiev goal.
33 mins: Ljungberg then sees a header cleared off the line by Sablic with Shovkovskiy again nowhere to be seen.
32 mins: Tremendous sweeping move from Arsenal as Henry is set free down the right. The flying Frenchman found some space and delivered a ball into the middle at pace. Ljungberg almost connects but Shovkovskiy is out bravely to get a touch on the ball and avert the danger.
31 mins: Great work from Lauren who skips past two Kiev players before releasing the ever-willing Parlour down the right. Sablic does well to track back and challenge though.
30 mins: Pires tries to wriggle free in the area but is well shackled by Nesmachnyi. Good ball by Toure to set Pires free and the African has enjoyed a fine game so far.
29 mins: The hosts piling the pressure on now as we approach the half hour mark. Lehmann has been a virtual spectator for the last 15 or so minutes.
28 mins: Arsenal taking control now as Toure plays in Henry who hits a snap-shot wide. Much more encouraging play from the hosts.
27 mins: Gilberto is booked for a needless foul on Shatskikh. The card is only Gilberto's second in his entire Arsenal career.
26 mins: Another corner for the hosts after a fine cross-field ball by Cole finds Pires who forces a decent save from Shovkovskiy, who looks to be in for a busy night.
25 mins: Another corner for Arsenal is eventually picked up by Bergkamp, who in turn loses possession.
24 mins: Pires takes this time and although he cannot find a red shirt Arsenal should be encouraged by this fine spell of pressure.
23 mins: Arsenal have a corner now as the Highbury crowd comes to life. Shovkovskiy makes a terrible hash of things as the ball just drifts past the head of Gilberto. Cornetr again though.
22 mins: Accurate free-kick finds Gilberto just seven yards from goal but the Brazilian cannot get any purchase on the ball and heads straight down the throat of Shovkovskiy.
21 mins: Arsenal just beginning to exert themselves here as Bergkamp floats a free-kick from the right into the area.
20 mins: Goran Sablic is on for Bergkamp's marker Onyschenko. How will that change affect proceedings?
19 mins: Henry treis his luck from 25 yards but can only find a Kiev backside. Lauren then tries to raid down the flank.
19 mins: Leko and Ghioane combine for the visitors, who look fairly comforatble so far.
18 mins: Fedorov causes a nuisance in the Arsenal box but Cole eventually hacks upfield towards Gilberto. The Brazilian has hardly been involved so far as we approach the 20 minute mark.
17 mins: Lauren and Toure exchange passes before Pires brings Arsenal forward. It may just take a bit of magic from the mercurial Frenchman to unlock Kiev this evening.
16 mins: Arsene Wenger on the home bench does not look overly impressed by what he has witnessed so far as Bergkamp tries to get Arsenal moving.
15 mins: Cole takes a throw with Kiev temporarily down to 10 men.
14 mins: Onyschenko comes off worse after a 50-50 challenge with Bergkamp and the trainer is quickly on as the Kiev man writhes in agony.
13 mins: Henry beats one man but runs into trouble in the shape of Nesmachnyi down the left. The play held up just for the moment as Gavrancic stays down.
12 mins: Arsenal seem strangely subdued so far and have failed to really impose themselves as Ghioane brings Kiev forward.
11 mins: Onyschenko has tracked Bergkamp superbly so far and kept the Dutchman extremely quiet early on as Ljungberg fires a cross across goal with no Arsenal player in sight.
10 mins: Just over 10 minutes gone here and Kiev have clearly not just come to make up the numbers. They have looked very industrious so far through Belkevich and Husyev in midfield.
9 mins: Theatrical fall from Onyschenko after a challenge by Cole does not impress the referee or the Highbury faithful. Play on.
8 mins: Ljungberg very unlucky to see his shot saved after a pass from Pires. Shovkovskiy's flailing leg somehow manages to connect and send the all to safety from six yards out.
7 mins: Belkevich, known as the "pass master" in his native Ukraine and the best player on their field when these sides last met, has again started superbly for Kiev.
6 mins: Tremendous work from Belkevich, who feeds Shatskikh with a superb pass. The lone striker gets in a tangle however just ten yards from goal and Campbell can clear.
5 mins: Henry curls his free-kick up and over the wall but the ball cannot come back down quick enough and sails just over the bar.
4 mins: Ljungberg is bundled over in a very central and dangerous area. Thierry Henry country perhaps?
3 mins: Kiev look as though they have began with a 5-4-1 formation to try and stop Arsenal playing their natural game. We will find out in just over an hour and a half whether such a decision was wise.
2 mins: It's a beautiful night for football as Cole gives Lehmann an early touch. The big German sends his clearance up towards Pires.
1 mins: We are underway at Highbury as Arsenal try to break their astonishing European duck of no wins in their eight previous ties stretching back nearly a year.
Pre-match: Dennis Bergkamp is preferred to Sylvain Wiltord in an unchanged Arsenal side that needed victory over the Ukrainians to prolong their Champions League interest this season.
Jens Lehmann starts in goal for the Gunners, who go with Lauren, Sol Campbell, Kolo Toure and Ashley Cole at the back. Gilberto, Ray Parlour, Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg start in midfield.
Dynamo Kiev have Olexander Shovkovskiy in goal, and go with Serhil Fedorov, Jerko Leko, Andrii Nesmachnyi and Goran Gavrancic at the back. Tiberiu Ghioane, Maksim Shatskikh, Valentin Belkevich and Georgi Peev start in midfield for the visitors.
Olexandr Husyev and Denys Onyschenko are preferred in attack for Kiev, while Lucilio Cardoso Cortez Batista officiates.
