Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp says he may reconsider whether to call time on his playing career at the end of the season. The 34-year-old signed a one-year contract extension in the summer after weeks of uncertainty, and the former Dutch international revealed at the time he would retire come the end of the season. The ex-Internazionale ace has started only two games under Arsene Wenger this term but Bergkamp, in his ninth season with The Gunners, says he is ready to carry on. He said: "I thought this was going to be my last year at Arsenal as a player but I never say never. "It's strange because you would expect to feel a bit different physically when you get to a certain age. "But I honestly don't feel any different from when I was a young player. "I've only started two games so far this season but this is not a problem. "I think I will get a lot of games this year but the boss' view is he wants to keep a player for the whole season, so there is no point breaking him the first part. "The first XI was not written in stone at the start of the season and you would be hard-pressed even now to pick out Arsenal's first team. "I didn't have a long pre-season because of delays with my contract. "However, I've felt really sharp and I am happy to play my part."
