Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure has been rewarded with a new five-year contract with Arsenal after his brilliant start to the season.
Arsene Wenger raised many eyebrows at the start of this season when he began to play Toure at centre-back after he apparently had no history of playing at that position.
However, Toure, who joined the Gunners in February 2002 for just £250,000 from Asec Mimosas, has been a revelation at the back.
