ROME, Jan 21 (SW) - Inter Milan were too strong for Udinese and with that they advance to the semi finals, accompanied by Juventus who had no problems at home against Perugia. Inter defeated Udinese 3-1 at a San Siro stadium which was quite empty, after the complaints of the supporters following the bad results recently. After 17 minutes, Dutchman Van der Meyde opened the score for Inter, but Udinese reacted and Fava in the 35th minute put home the equalizer and the club from Udine even had a chance to go ahead as Jorgensen hit the crossbar in the last minute of the first half. With the score at half time, Udinese would still advance after the scoreless draw of the first leg, but Inter were more motivated in the second half and changed the course of the match through Martins in the 51st and a decisive Cruz penalty in the 63rd minute. Juventus, who were without pressure after the victory in the first leg, easily advanced today against Perugia, with a 1-0 win. The goal was scored by Miccoli in the 40th minute. The first half of the match knew a disputable moment when Perugia wanted a penalty but the referee refused to award it. The first semi-final will now be between Juventus and Inter Milan, where as Lazio, who eliminated Parma on Tuesday, will have to wait for the Thursday match between Milan and Roma to know who their opponents will be. copyright © Antonello Gallo www.soccerway.com/news/full/?page=details&area=1074723130
