GAZA, Feb. 20-- Israeli forces killed two Palestinian militants near the crossing of Kisovim in Gaza, Palestinian sources said.
The militants belonging to the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, and al-Aqsa Brigades of the Fatah movement, were killed in a joint attack on an Israeli target at the crossing Thursday night, the sources said.
"There was an exchange of fire east of the city of Deir al-Balah and Israeli tanks stationed near the crossing fired four shells in the direction of the city," witnesses told UPI.
The Israeli army said earlier two Palestinians were killed and a third wounded when troops opened fire as the militants attempted to approach the crossing.
The sources said the Israeli army has not handed over the bodies of the militants to the Palestinian side.
