A bomb near a fuel tanker has exploded in Baghdad, killing at least 12 people and wounding 15, Iraqi police say. The blast appears to have ignited a petrol tankerThe device went off on a road in the Iraqi capital's western district of Bayyaa on Wednesday morning and the resulting blaze enveloped a minibus. A police official called the blast "an act of terrorism", saying there was no military target at the site. Baghdad has seen a series of car bombs in recent months, the latest killing eight people on Monday. The device exploded at 0600 (0300 GMT), Baghdad police director Hamid Sabah Fahed told the French news agency AFP. It produced a huge fireball which set a number of vehicles ablaze. According to an unconfirmed report, a second explosion occurred near a railway station in Baghdad's al-Yarmouk district on Wednesday.
