Edgar Davids has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona for a six-month loan spell as Inter cool their interest. The Dutchman will be a free agent at the end of the season and Juventus director general Luciano Moggi confirmed that no new contract would be drawn up. The bitter row between the two parties has seen Davids relegated to the bench for much of this campaign. With the European Championships looming in June, the midfielder is desperate for some first team football. A January move to Inter was considered a distinct possibility, but their elimination from the Champions’ League makes it unlikely the club will want to pay for a player they can have for free in six months. The Italian and Spanish press now believe that Davids’ agent Robert Geerlings has offered him to Barcelona for a loan spell. The ex-Ajax and Milan man would be able to hook up with his former teammate Frank Rijkaard, who is currently the Coach of the Liga outfit.
