Fabrizio Miccoli hopes that he can continue to impress at Juventus in a bid to make the European Championships. "It is my dream to take part at Euro 2004," said the forward. "I want to convince Giovanni Trapattoni of my ability with my performances for Juve." The forward has featured for Italy in recent months but seems to be in direct confrontation with Roma sensation Antonio Cassano for a squad place. Miccoli has been in sparkling form for the Bianconeri and has found the net in consecutive games against Olympiakos and Parma. "The two goals I scored against Parma were important," he added. "I wanted to do well, especially as I was given the chance to start the game. "My first goal was important. The second more beautiful. It was just a key Sunday for me overall." Juventus now seem back on track following a recent crisis when they lost three consecutive games against Inter, Galatasaray and Lazio. But Miccoli fears that the Italian champions will have to be at their very best to eliminate the threat from Roma. "They are very strong this season," he commented on the leaders. "They are a compact squad and concede very little. They also have a great Coach in Fabio Capello."
