During a ceremony to unveil a charity calendar, Juventus star Pavel Nedved revealed that winning the Ball D’Or is not that important to him.
"I'm not interested in the golden ball," he remarked. "Players should think about doing more for charity rather than other things."
The Czech Republic dazzler did admit that it was nice to hear World Soccer named him it’s Player of the Year.
"I am happy to hear this because it means that people appreciate me,” said Nedved. “But as I said before there are more important things than prizes.”
