Fabrizio Miccoli believes he’s done enough in the past three months to illustrate that he deserves to be at Juventus. The 23-year-old arrived at the Stadio Delle Alpi this summer and he has settled in relatively well. "I would say that I’ve done OK so far," he said. "Yet the only thing that interests me is that I have shown that I deserve to be part of this squad of champions." Miccoli was signed by Juventus two years ago but was immediately loaned out to Perugia last season where he excelled. Competition for places in Turin is high but he has impressed when given the chance, like on Wednesday in the record 7-0 win against Olympiakos. "I scored and hit the post," he said. "Though it was just important that we won after the three defeats. "It was a win that will help to improve morale and will allow us to go into the Parma game even more convinced of our abilities. "We’ll see on Sunday whether we really have got through this difficult moment for us." Miccoli himself may start against the Gialloblu with David Trezeguet struggling with an ankle injury. "I’m in good shape and I hope that continues," he added. "I just look to be ready when the Coach feels that he needs me." Meanwhile, Pavel Nedved returned to training on Thursday after a bout of flu. He could return to the side at the weekend. Defender Lilian Thuram is struggling with fitness though. Some reports suggest he won’t be back until the New Year.
