skysports.planetfootball.comby Kent Hedlundh England coach Sven Goran Eriksson has quashed talk that he could step down following next year's World Cup. The Swede's assistant Tord Grip stated the pair had options in their contracts that allow them to leave their posts after the showpiece event in Germany. Eriksson is unsure if Grip has a clause in his deal, but he has stated he has no such option and fully intends to remain in the post until 2008. "I will fulfil my contract," explained Eriksson to the Expressen. "There is no such clause, not in my contract anyway." Eriksson does not feel his job rests on England's performance in the World Cup, but acknowledges the decision is out of his hands. "Not in my eyes," he added whether next summer is make or break. "But there are others who decide too."
