Chelsea are ready to make a £27m bid for Juventus star Pavel Nedved according to one of his representatives. The Czech star has been linked with the Stamford Bridge outfit on numerous occasions and their admiration seems to have been confirmed. "Luciano Moggi (Juventus director general) has told me that Roman Abramovich is ready to offer 40m Euros for Nedved," Znenek Nehoda is quoted as saying. "At this moment in time, Nedved’s intention is to see out his contract with Juventus which expires in 2006. However, anything can happen in football." The former Lazio star is undoubtedly one of the Bianconeri’s key players but his sale can’t be totally ruled out. After all, this is a club that has already sacrificed the likes of Roberto Baggio, Christian Vieri and Zinedine Zidane in the last decade. However, Moggi insists that Nedved is untouchable. "I’m sorry to inform Abramovich that Nedved is not for sale," he stated. "All bids will be rejected."
