news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/3629257.stmLiverpool keeper Chris Kirkland will miss Euro 2004 after being ruled out of the rest of the season by Liverpool. Kirkland broke a wrist in a training ground accident in March and Reds boss Gerard Houllier says he will not recover in time to play this term. "Chris won't play again this season. He won't be ready in time," said Houllier. "I do not think he will be ready for the European Championships. He is very unlucky, I am sure he would have gone with the England squad to Portugal." It is a bitter blow for Kirkland, who has yet to win an England cap largely due to his misfortune with injuries.
