Sven Goran Eriksson has insisted he will not leave England to manage Chelsea next season. Eriksson, who has been linked with the title challengers for months, said he has not been offered any other job. And the Swede, whose contract with England expires after the 2006 World Cup, said he is "amazed" at the speculation surrounding himself and big-spending Chelsea. The FA have offered the former Lazio boss a two-year contract extension, but Eriksson is waiting until after Euro 2004 to decide whether to sign it. "I am amazed and surprised every time this matter comes up because I have a contract until 2006," said Eriksson. "I don't have an offer to go anywhere else, and that's the truth." When asked if he could say, hand on heart, he would not be Chelsea manager next season, Eriksson said: "Yeah. But I don't want to make a comment every day, I don't think it's fair." Asked if he would sign the contract extension, he added: "I still have two years to go, and another two years is a great commitment. I will have to think about that."
