Ronaldinho's World XI defeated Andrei Shevchenko's Europe XI 6-3 in a benefit match for the victims of the recent tsunami in South East Asia.
The Football for Hope match saw an estimated crowd of 40,000 attend the star-studded contest at Camp Nou in Barcelona.
The Europe XI - managed by Italy boss Marcello Lippi and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger - boasted the likes of England's David Beckham and Steve Gerrard in their starting line-up.
Brazil manager Carlos Alberto Parreira and Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard presided over the World XI, which had Leeds United centre back Lucas Radebe in their starting line-up.
A competitive but leisurely contest saw Deco miss the first chance for Ronaldinho's XI with a left foot strike wide of goal.
The World XI opened the scoring when Samuel Eto'o took Kaka's pass on the edge of the box before slotting the ball past Iker Casillas for 1-0.
The African Player of the Year then missed another chance to double the lead with a right foot strike wide of goal before Ronaldinho easily found the net himself after Deco, Hidetoshi Nakata and Kaka combined to set up the Barcelona man.
Alessandro Del Piero pulled a goal back for the Europe XI after latching onto a fine ball forward from Zinedine Zidane.
Just before the break, Eto'o scored his second goal of the match after cutting off a poor Sebastian Deisler back pass before side-stepping Casillas and running the ball over the goal line.
The second half brought several changes on both sides and the Europe XI soon drew level with two quick goals.
Former Chelsea playmaker Gianfranco Zola sublimely lobbed Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni to make it 3-2 before Honduran striker David Suazo made it 3-3 with a right foot finish.
However, the World XI restored their lead when on-loan Southampton striker Henri Camara smashed a left foot half volley past Francesco Toldo for 4-3.
The Senegal international then put another strike through Toldo's legs to make it 5-3 before South Korea's Cha Doo-ri finish the scoring with well-taken sixth goal for the World XI.
The result in the Catalan capital meant little, as the benefit match raised around €8 million (£5.5 million) for the tsunami relief effort.
