The former Milan chief is astounded at Ferguson's longevity in the role with the clash with Lyon a landmark fixture for the United manager. "For sure, it's an historical achievement," he stated. "For what he did and what he's doing for Manchester. "1,000 times on the bench is really a lot but you can obtain this with few teams. What is amazing is the fact that Ferguson has been managing Manchester for 18 years. "My best wishes to my friend Alex." Capello has plenty of respect for Ferguson and the United manager will be paid a special tribute in 'Knight of 1,000 games' on Sky Sports 1 on Monday evening at six o'clock.
