news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/3706288.stmBritish clubs will find out their Uefa Cup fate when the draw for the group stages is made at 1100 BST in Switzerland on Tuesday. Newcastle and Rangers are in pot one and will avoid the other teams in their group such as Lazio and Parma. Middlesbrough are in pot three with Hearts in pot four and teams will be split into eight groups of five. Teams from the same nation cannot face each other so Boro may face Rangers or Hearts, who could meet Newcastle. The top three in each group will advance to the last 32 where they will be joined by the eight third-placed clubs from the Champions League group stage. From February, the competition will revert to the home and away knock-out format, with the exception of the single-match final. The dates allocated for the group matches are 21 October, 4 and 25 November, 1, 2, 15 and 16 December.
