Chelsea have been told to forget about signing Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. While the Bianconeri chase two Argentines.
The international goalkeeper is widely recognised as the best in the world which saw him become the latest player linked with the Premiership side.
Blues supremo Roman Abramovich is believed to be looking for a new ‘keeper and Buffon is at the top of his list.
However, the former Parma man is staying in Turin according to his agent Silvano Martina. "Juve have no intention of selling him," stated the representative.
"That is why Abramovich's intentions can’t be fulfilled. As he can no longer sign Juve's ‘keeper, he has directed his attention elsewhere."
All eyes seem to point to Parma ‘keeper Sebastien Frey who took over from Buffon at the Tardini two years ago.
The Frenchman has been strongly associated with a switch to the London club and an £8m summer move seems likely.
Meanwhile, Juventus will have scouts present at the Under-20 World Cup to keep an eye specifically on two Argentine talents.
River Plate forward Fernando Cavenaghi, 20, has been linked for some time and is a target for a number of top clubs.
The other player of interest is 19-year-old winger Dario Cangele. He has really caught the eye with Boca Juniors.
