Juventus’ fragility in defence is a result of their attacking tactics according to stopper Nicola Legrottaglie. The Bianconeri have had the best defensive record in Serie A for the last two seasons but things are not as tight this time around. "It is true that we are conceding goals this season but we are also significantly scoring a lot more," he stated. "We are playing some really offensive football right now and that will obviously see us give a little away at the back." The Italian champions have conceded nine goals in nine games, three times as many as Roma. However, Milan, Inter and even surprise package Modena have been better defensively so far this season. Legrottaglie has settled in well since his summer move from Chievo but won’t feature for Italy against Romania on Sunday because of fitness issues. "I’m feeling a lot better physically," he added. "I had similar problems last season too at Chievo and I’m aware of how my body can react to it. "That’s why I won’t be able to play against Romania because I’m looking to regain my best form right now." The Bianconeri have made a fantastic start to the season which has led to some critics predicting a difficult second half of the campaign. "None of us here are expecting to go through a crisis physically," he added. "That’s also down to the rotation system which the Coach employs."
