news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/euro_2004/germany/3834751.stmGermany coach Rudi Voeller has resigned after his team's early exit from Euro 2004, according to reports. His side were eliminated from the Euro 2004 tournament following a 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic on Wednesday. Voeller had insisted he wanted to stay, but the website of German newspaper Bild said the former World Cup-winning striker reached the decision overnight. The German Football Association (DFB) refused to comment, but has scheduled a news conference for 0930 BST.
