Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon was key in the 2-0 win over Brescia according to Pavel Nedved.
The Italian No 1 saved a Roberto Baggio penalty after just three minutes, before the Czech ace gave his side the lead soon after with a superb volley.
"Gigi’s save was decisive for us," said the international star. "If we’d have gone a goal down then things would have been very difficult for us."
Nedved was again in great form but he was quick to pay tribute to his teammates in the comfortable victory.
"We played relatively well and even had a good goal, scored by David Trezeguet, wrongly ruled out for offside," he added.
"I must compliment my side because we didn’t lose our focus and we again demonstrated that we have a will to win."
Although Juventus were not sensational, Nedved was impressed with their display after their 4-2 win over Real Sociedad last Tuesday.
"It’s tough after European games," he added. "You leave a lot of energy behind when you play in the Champions’ League. We deserved our win against Brescia."
The Bianconeri’s second goal at the Delle Alpi was scored by Trezeguet who glanced in a Mauro Camoranesi cross.
