Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff will be fit to face Chile in Wednesday's friendly at Lansdowne Road despite missing training today with a sinus problem.
With the squad in the Algarve for a four-day training camp, manager Steve Staunton confirmed: 'Damien has a bit of sinus trouble.
'It may take a day or two to sort out, but he will be fine to play on Wednesday.'
Duff was not the only player to sit out the two-hour session as the Chelsea star was joined on the sidelines by Andy O'Brien (back), Joey O'Brien (knee), Alan Quinn (ankle) and Paddy Kenny.
The quartet are definitely out of the clash with the South Americans, while Clinton Morrison, Steve Finnan and Alan Lee are doubtful, with the trio undertaking only a light training session due to injury niggles.
Despite the injury problems, Staunton has enjoyed the last couple of days in Portugal, designed to enhance team bonding and as part of the preparations for the European Championship qualifying programme that starts in September.
'I am really pleased with the set-up here, and the facilities are excellent,' added Staunton.
'The boys have trained hard over the last two days, and we have been able to get through quite a lot of work.'
Republic of Ireland starting XI:
Shay Given (Newcastle United)
Stephen Kelly (Tottenham Hotspur)
Gary Breen (Unatttached)
Richard Dunne (Manchester City)
Kevin Kilbane (Everton)
Steve Finnan (Liverpool)
John O'Shea (Manchester United)
Steven Reid (Blackburn Rovers)
Robbie Keane (Tottenham Hotspur)
Damien Duff (Chelsea)
Kevin Doyle (Reading)
