David Trezeguet has revealed that he has yet to start talks with Juventus over a contract extension. Reports recently had suggested that the Frenchman was set to sign a new three-year deal but that doesn’t seem to be the case. "Negotiations have yet to begin," the striker told the French newspaper L'Equipe. "Right now I don’t want to talk about it. All I know is that Juve want me to stay and that is vital." The former Monaco man only has 18 months left to run on his deal and is keen to continue playing his club football in Turin. Trezeguet has been after a new salary improved deal for some time but Juventus have made him wait. It is believed that they are ready to satisfy his requests so long as his wage demands are not deemed too excessive. If talks break down then a move to the Premiership would be likely after numerous clubs have been linked with his services. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a massive fan of the player, while Trezeguet was recently associated with a move to Man Utd. Stories suggested that Juventus would offer cash and the player to the Old Trafford outfit in exchange for Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
