www.sportinglife.com/football/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/05/11/09/SOCCER_Celtic_Larsson.htmlCeltic legend Henrik Larsson insists his former Parkhead boss Martin O'Neill would be the "perfect" choice to take over the vacant Republic of Ireland manager's post. The 34-year-old striker enjoyed the best spell of his seven-year Hoops' career under O'Neill before moving to Barcelona in the summer of 2004. The Swede was followed out of the Celtic Park door a year later by the Ulsterman who quit due to his wife's illness. One bookmaker has suspended betting following a string of substantial bets on former England boss Terry Venables but Larsson told the Scottish Daily Mirror: "He is a great, great manager. He would probably be perfect but there are other things important things in life as well. "That is what he is talking care of at the moment but I would think he would be an ideal candidate for any job."
