Striker Rob Hulse is warning United not to take anything for granted in next week's Championship Play-off final - but admits with the Leeds fans behind them they have got the best chance.
Hulse scored the first goal in Monday night's 2-0 win over Preston to take Leeds to the showcase final in Cardiff on May 21st, and encouraged by news that the club's 33,000 allocation of tickets is certain to sell out, knows he and his team-mates will have great backing at the Millennium Stadium.
"We are 90 minutes away from 'living the dream', " said Rob.
"There's been a lot of ups and downs over the season and we have to end this on a high. We'll be taking a load of fans who have been absolutely brilliant and hopefully they will get behind us and we can produce something special."
Hulse said the team are desperate to do well for the fans but is remaining cautious ahead of the game and warned his team-mates that any hint of complacency will almost certainly be punished by Watford.
"The fans been fantastic all season, they deserve Premiership football but there is still a hell of a lot of hard work to do and along way to go. Hopefully we'll end the season on a high note.
"But we can't go into the final thinking we're nearly there; Watford are just as determined as we are to get back into the top flight and they haven't been there for a while. Both teams are so close to the Premiership again but if anyone allows themselves to think past this game then it could be dangerous.
"We've taken a bit of criticism over the past month or two (after slipping out of the automatic promotion chase) but it hasn't really affected team spirit, in fact the more knocks you get the stronger the inner belief of the team gets, especially if you have a good changing room like we have. We are a bunch of lads who stick together.
"We've thought all along that we could get to the final, we've done that and now have to go that little bit further."
