news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/3761847.stmJohn Hartson wants to see out his career with Celtic, according to the striker's agent. The 29-year-old Welsh international, who missed the second half of last season with a back injury, has one year left to run on his contract. "He has put his injury problems behind him and wants to stay at Celtic," said agent Jonathan Barnett. "He is very happy at Celtic and his conditions are right and he wants to stay for the rest of his career." Hartson, signed from Coventry for £6m in 2001, featured in Henrik Larsson's farewell friendly with Seville on Tuesday, having been out of action since February. And the big forward, who has won 40 caps for Wales, is anxious to get back to playing regularly. "I've just bought a new house and my family is settled in Scotland so I would now hope to stay for a few more years," said Hartson. "They should be the best years of my career too because I feel more like 25 than 29 now and I am working hard to be ready for pre-season after my operation. "As far as I'm concerned I want to take an active part in that and then get on with the domestic season and Europe again. "There's no better place to play your football than in front of 60,000 fans at Celtic Park and I have vital years ahead for the club and for Wales."
