Luton's Kevin Foley and Brentford's Jay Tabb will make their debuts for the Republic of Ireland U21s against Scotland U21s on Tuesday (1930 BST).
Irish boss Don Givens is without Willo Flood, Stephen Elliott, Paul Keegan and Sean Thornton.
Scotland boss Rainer Bonhof will be minus David Marshall, David Clarkson, Scott Brown, Alexander Diamond and Paul Quinn for the Galway contest.
The quintet are on duty with the Scottish U19s in Austria.
Givens fields an unchanged back five from the side that started against Poland last month while Darren Potter is given another chance in midfield alongside Glenn Whelan.
Swansea goalkeeper Brian Murphy is expected to play the second half while Newcastle defender Stephen Brennan will also get a run at some stage after a year's absence from the U21s because of injury.
The Irish are currently on a 10-game win which has seen them record victories over Russia, Switzerland and Italy as well as earning good draws with Poland and Portugal.
The shortage of personnel means Gregor Robertson has been drafted into the Scottish squad.
The Nottingham Forest midfielder comes highly recommended and Bonhof hopes he will impress in Ireland.
"He did well in a closed doors match on Wednesday and hopefully he can do the same again in Ireland," said Bonhof.
"I had been told this guy was capable of playing to this standard so I thought I would try him."
Republic of Ireland U21s: Henderson (Aston Villa); Kelly (Tottenham Hotspur), McCarthy (Manchester City), Fitzgerald (Blackburn Rovers), Capper (Scarborough); K Foley (Luton Town), Potter (Liverpool), Whelan (Manchester City), Kearney (Cork City); D Murphy (Waterford United), Tabb (Brentford).
