news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/3677049.stmCeltic's Jackie McNamara has been voted the Scottish Football Writers' Association Player of the Year. McNamara has played an integral role in Celtic's march to the league title, the Scottish Cup final and the quarter final of the Uefa Cup. The versatile defender held off the challenges of team-mates Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton, who won the Players' Player of the year, in a close contest. McNamara won the Players' Player of the Year himself in 1998.
