Celtic midfielder Neil Lennon insists the 19-point advantage over Rangers in the Scotland Premier League is a "true reflection" of their superiority.
The 2-1 win at Ibrox moved Martin O'Neill's side to within touching distance of the title.
If Celtic beat Hearts on Saturday and Rangers lose at Motherwell, they will win a third SPL trophy in four years.
"We have been head and shoulders above anything in the country this season," Lennon told the Evening Times.
"Our performances against Rangers have been excellent, under very trying circumstances," he added.
"It really hurt to lose the title last season.
"You don't have time to dwell on it. Four in a row would have been a tremendous achievement but it was probably asking a bit much considering the efforts we put in last year both at home and in Europe.
"But, this season, we have improved again when I didn't think we could.
"A lot of people thought we were too old, that last season might have been the break-up of the team and that the players here were not good enough. But, we have answered everything."
