Chelsea winger Damien Duff has said he will be fit for the Republic of Ireland's friendly against Brazil on 18 February in Dublin. Duff has not played a full game since dislocating a shoulder in a Premiership match against Fulham just before Christmas. Since then, he made two appearances as a substitute before being sidelined again by a thigh strain. However, Duff said he expected to play against Portsmouth on Wednesday. "I spoke to Brian Kerr about Brazil the other day and I want to be available for it," Duff told the FAI's website. "The injury has been a nightmare. I felt it when I came back after my shoulder injury but I played on because I had been out for so long. "I have had to work hard in the gym for the past five weeks and I am confident the nightmare is almost over."
