Celtic striker Craig Beattie has signed a new three-year contract at Parkhead.
The 20-year-old has started just one game this season, the CIS Insurance Cup win over Partick, in which he scored his only goal of the campaign so far.
Beattie has seen other youngsters leave Parkhead to get first-team football but he believes his chance will come.
"Celtic is a massive club and my aim is to get into the team and stay in it," he said.
"To play for other clubs isn't even in the back of my mind, I just want to do well for Celtic.
"Other players like Ross Wallace and Shaun Maloney have all been involved and it's encouraging to see that we're getting a shot.
"All the boys are working hard and competing with each other to get into the team."
