news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/4584278.stmAston Villa boss David O'Leary wants to extend midfielder Eirik Bakke's loan spell until the end of the season. Bakke, 28, is due to return to Leeds at the end of January but O'Leary said: "There are two issues with Eirik. "I want him to stay for the rest of the season. At present, he is not eligible for the FA Cup because we currently have no deal to extend his loan. "We could do with sorting that out because we badly need him for Saturday. We need to know before noon on Friday." Aston Villa play Hull in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday. Leeds are thought to be reluctant to allow Bakke to become cup-tied if no agreement has been made with Villa in case another club comes in for him.
