Los Angeles-based Kamand Enterprise claims Mr Jackson still owed $178,000 (£95,800) on the purchase. The company filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, adding to Mr Jackson's mounting legal woes. He is currently facing charges of child abuse, which he denies, and the trial is due to start on 31 January 2005. Earlier this week Marc Schaffel, a producer and former business associate of Mr Jackson, sued him for $3m (£1.6m), alleging he is owed for unpaid loans and producing fees. Bread holder According to invoices filed with the complaint by Kamand Enterprises, Mr Jackson, whose name is scratched out and the name "Brown" written above it, bought $378,875-worth of goods from the shop on 8 May. They included a large mirror, a 13-branch candelabra, pair of white marble and bronze centrepieces, a French silver bread holder and an antique silver tea and coffee set. The lawsuit states that Mr Jackson paid only $200,000 (£107,700) towards the bill and refused to pay the balance. Mr Jackson's lawyer, Brian Oxman, had he had not reviewed the complaint. "Like other proceedings involving Michael Jackson, we'll look at it carefully and deal with it in a professional manner," Mr Oxman said.
