Rock band U2 will kick off a world tour on 1 March in Florida, their manager Paul McGuinness has said.
He told Billboard magazine they would play about 35 dates across the US before travelling on to Europe, Japan and Australia.
U2 will tour material from their album, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, due for release worldwide on 22 November and a day later in the US.
The band, led by Bono, are number one in the UK singles chart with Vertigo.
Mr McGuinness said no decisions had yet been taken about who would support U2 on their tour but there have been rumours of Snow Patrol and the Scissor Sisters.
"We love Snow Patrol. Their producer, Jacknife Lee, also worked on U2's album and they're Irish. There's a close connection," he said.
U2's last live dates was the 2001 Elevation tour, which saw them play to two million people and earned them £42m.
