soccernet.espn.go.com/preview?id=184601&cc=573915:00 UK - Vicarage Road StadiumClarke Carlisle will be unavailable for Watford's home clash with his former club Leeds. The 25-year-old defender is unable to play under the terms of the deal that took him to Vicarage Road from West Yorkshire for £100,000 on the eve of the season. Carlisle, along with fellow summer signing from Leeds Matthew Spring, will not be able to play in the return fixture at Elland Road either - although midfielder Spring, 25, is available for this match. "We knew this would happen with Clarke," said manager Adrian Boothroyd. "But this clause was a deal breaker - so it is better to lose him for the Leeds games than not to have him at all." Carlisle's absence means Boothroyd will be especially relieved that Malky Mackay has completed a three-match ban and should return in central defence. Gavin Mahon has come on as a substitute for the second half of the Hornets' last two matches, and could return in central midfield at the expense of Dominic Blizzard or on-loan Carl Fletcher. Leeds striker Richard Cresswell is expected to be fit for the trip to Vicarage Road despite lasting just 25 minutes of the midweek win over Derby. The striker was replaced by Robbie Blake due to a thigh injury but he is expected to be declared fit. Meanwhile, David Healy will be available for the game after completing a three-match suspension.
