Five weightlifters have tested positive for drugs before the start of the Athens Games, the International Olympic Committee has announced.
The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) will issue a statement on the tests later on Thursday, IOC spokeswoman Giselle Davies said.
Myanmar weightlifter Nan Aye Khine has already been thrown out of the Games after failing a drugs test.
The 27-year-old finished fourth in the women's 48kg category on Saturday.
Khine claimed she has been taking a herbal remedy on a regular basis but the team doctor had not fully examined its contents.
