Snooker star Jimmy White is recovering in an Irish hospital after an emergency appendix-removal operation. White was rushed into hospital in Ireland on Friday White, 42, entered Roscommon General Hospital on Friday and was operated on shortly afterwards. The player had to abandon part of a schedule of exhibition displays in Ireland after falling ill. A spokesman for White said he was feeling well after the operation, adding that he hoped to leave hospital some time on Monday.
