United boss Kevin Blackwell says Saturday's win over Norwich is further evidence Leeds are heading in the right direction.
Rob Hulse's second half goal proved decisive in the encounter between two teams tipped to challenge for the promotion places this season, and Blackwell admitted he was very satisfied with the performance.
"Going into a two week break it is always nice to have a win," he said.
"We looked a decent side, in all departments we were strong and they put us on the rack for a bit in the last ten minutes and we stood up to it, but you have to be able to do that.
"To come to Norwich and come away with a victory gives us a lot of belief and you can't have enough of that as a manager or a player.
"I think we had eight corners in the first half and we had some great chances. I said to the strikers at half time that I wanted them to be a little bit more positive and take them on more because we passed the opportunity to have a go at them.
"I think Benno just had to deal with little balls that dropped into him, and I can't remember him having an important save to make in the game. They did put us under pressure and I said to the lads that as they game went on they would try to go long and they did just that.
"This is a difficult place to come and I am pleased with the outcome.
"It helps build all the things you are asking them to do now because they will believe you more and more, and training becomes a pleasure and then they start looking around and thinking he might just be right and might just know what he's doing."
Blackwell is not about to get carried away with the result though.
"I think it's too early to tell how significant this is, it will only be significant if come the end of May you are in the promotion places or play-offs by a point or three points. That's when it becomes significant, but there's no doubt what we do now becomes significant later on.
