TV chef Jamie Oliver's attempts to turn a group of unemployed teenagers into successful cooks is to be made into a feature film, it is reported.
Ewan McGregor and Orlando Bloom have been suggested as possible names to play Oliver, the Sunday Times said.
The film is likely to be set in the US, with the main character being loosely based on the 28-year-old Essex chef.
Oliver, who was honoured with an MBE by the Queen last month, is said to favour McGregor to play his part.
The Daily Telegraph said a British company was in talks with Oliver to make the film - said to have a £12m budget.
Inspiration
It would be based on Oliver's successful Channel 4 TV series Jamie's Kitchen, in which he struggled to turn a group of disadvantaged young people into chefs at his London restaurant Fifteen.
The film would be set in New Jersey taking some of its inspiration from the 1980s film and TV series Fame about would-be arts performers in New York.
The Telegraph said it was the brainchild of Michael Kuhn, who was head of Polygram when the company made Four Weddings and a Funeral.
