Michael Jackson's father has told the BBC's Louis Theroux he whipped his pop singer son as a child.
Joe Jackson is seen saying in a show to be seen on Sunday: "I whipped him with a switch and a belt. I never beat him. You beat someone with a stick."
He tells Theroux that he does not care about his son's alleged plastic surgery in BBC Two's Louis, Martin and Michael.
Mr Jackson also says he does not think his son is crazy but is smart, and that he "can't stand" gay people.
The interview is conducted in a hotel room in the US, and overseen by a man, Majestik Magnificent, who claims to be Michael Jackson's personal magician. Majestik is frequently heard interrupting the interview.
Theroux told Joe Jackson that his son was so nervous when he saw his father that he "regurgitates", and Joe responds by saying: "He regurgitates all the way to the bank. That's right."
Michael Jackson has consistently accused his father of beating him as a child.
Nose issue
Mr Jackson also says that he does not like the way the British press refer to his son was "Wacko Jacko", saying that in the US "wacko" meant crazy.
Michael Jackson also gets his father's support over his nose - which is alleged to have been repeatedly rebuilt through plastic surgery, claims which Jackson has consistently denied .
Mr Jackson is seen saying his son can do what he likes with his nose and that he would not want to discuss the nose on the BBC.
Majestik then says he will cancel the interview if another question is asked about Michael Jackson's nose.
Theroux asks Mr Jackson if he wishes his son had a partner.
When he describes partner as "boyfriend or girlfriend", Majestik says: "What are you trying to say, that Michael's gay?"
Majestik says the question is disrespectful to Joe Jackson, who later says "we don't believe in gays. I can't stand them." Mr Jackson then calls an end to the interview.
Louis Theroux, the son of travel writer Paul, made his name presenting the show Weird Weekends, and the When Louis Met... series, which featured personalities such as Jimmy Savile, Chris Eubank and Paul Daniels.
The show goes out at 2100 GMT on Sunday.
