Six million people watched a celebrity version of Channel 4's Wife Swap on Tuesday, with Big Brother's Jade Goody and quiz show cheat Charles Ingram.
The show, which saw the reality show contestant move in with the Who Want to be a Millionaire? fraudster, managed an audience share of 25%.
The celebrity episode did even better than Wife Swap's recent average of 5.34 million viewers.
Goody admitted to the Radio Times this month she found Ingram "irritating".
She said: "He kept talking about how he did a lot round the house, but he never did anything to help me."
The former dental nurse came fifth in the 2002 series of Big Brother, while Ingram was found guilty of fraud after winning the £1m prize in Who Wants to be a Millionaire? in 2001.

He was found to have been "guided" to the right answers by "coded coughs" from a fellow contestant.
Goody moved to Ingram's family home in Wiltshire, while his wife Diana moved to the Essex flat the Big Brother contestant shares with her boyfriend Jeff Brazier.
Goody said her relationship with the disgraced major improved after they argued.
"After about four days, me and Charles had a big run-in, but that sort of cleared the air."
Ingram said he had developed a "strong respect" for her.
During the show Goody was seen asking Ingram's teenage daughters if they believed their father had cheated on the quiz show, while Diana Ingram was seen dancing in a nightclub.
Wife Swap has proven to be one of Channel 4's most popular shows this year. The show sends diametrically opposed-couples to live with their opponent's spouses.
