Stephen King fans are finally getting the chance to read the next instalment in the author's The Dark Tower saga, 33 years ago after he started the series.
Wolves of the Calla, the fifth book in the seven-part opus, was published in the US and UK on Tuesday.
The previous instalment was released six years ago. The final two stories will be released in the next 12 months.
The fantasy series was inspired by The Lord of the Rings and Sergio Leone's The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Wolves of the Calla was number three in online retailer Amazon's chart on Tuesday.
The first book in The Dark Tower set, The Gunslinger, was released in 1982, but King started it 12 years earlier.
He recently rewrote it because he said he was too young when he originally created it.
Since then, King has become known for his horror and thriller novels such as The Shining, It and Carrie.
He said he would classify The Dark Tower books as "fantasy", but "they're not high fantasy in the sense that they don't deal with elves and warlocks and that sort of thing".
"There are some really horrible sorts of things, but there's also some high drama. And there's a love story," he told Amazon.
"There's a lot of different things. And really that's what I think fiction should be."
He also said his writing would "slow way down" after The Dark Tower because being a celebrity was "a pain in the ass".
