Illusionist Roy Horn has been moved to a Los Angeles hospital as he recovers from being mauled by one of his tigers. Officials said the 59-year-old was in a serious but stable condition at the UCLA Medical Center, following the attack on 3 October. Partner Siegfred Fischbacher said in a statement: "Roy is now making the transition from survival to recovery." Horn had been in hospital in Las Vegas after the attack, which took place at the city's Mirage hotel. His manager, Bernie Yuman, said: "All of us in the Siegfred & Roy family are encouraged by his remarkable will and progress during this challenging time." The cat, a seven-year-old white tiger called Montecore, grabbed Horn by the neck and dragged him off stage. Fischbacher has suggested the animal was trying to help Horn, but animal experts have disputed this. The tiger has been released from quarantine.
