Sir Paul McCartney's wife Heather Mills has given birth to a son a month early, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror says the boy was delivered in an emergency Caesarean operation at Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in London on Wednesday.
The baby, which the paper says will probably be called Joseph, was not due until the end of November.
Sir Paul, 61, who already has three grown-up children, married Mills, 35, in June 2001.
Mills, who lost a leg in a road accident, is reported to have had steel plates fitted to her hips, which would have made natural childbirth impossible.
